Channel O Music Video Award Winners 2008

The winners for this year’s Channel O Music Video Awards have been named. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday night (Oct 9) at the Carnival City, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The MC’s were Channel O’s own Nonhle Thema and Krazy Boy (Kabelo ‘KB’ Ngakane).

The best Kwaito award went to Namibia once again and since there is no House category, our Mzansi artist didnot do as well as we would have liked.

We would like to congratulate all the winners particularly our neighbours Zimbabwe’s Buffalo Soulje who scooped two awards and where the suprise of the evening.

Best Newcomer Video: Buffalo Souljah - Bubble Your Bumz (ZIM)

Best Duo/group Video: P-Square - Do Me (NIG)

Best Dance Video: Lady May - Chokola (NAM)

Best Ragga Dancehall Video: Buffalo Souljah - Bubble Your Bumz (ZIM)

Best Kwaito Video: Da Dogg - Can You Feel It (NAM)

Best R&B Video: Gal Level - Falling In Love (NAM)

Best Hip-Hop Video: KC Presh - Sengemenge (NIG)

Best Africa Southern: Freshlyground - Potbelly (SA)

Best Africa West: M-Trill - Bounce (NIG)
