The Black Eyes Peas’ status as the world’s leading urban act was confirmed just a few weeks ago when nominations for the 2010 Grammy awards were announced – and African fans can now catch this super group getting personal on another brilliant episode of O Access.

Broadcast on Channel O, Tuesday 15 December at 21:00, this very special edition of the hugely popular show sees host Nonhle Thema head for Los Angeles to hang out with will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo to talk about the group’s multi-Grammy nominated 2009 album, The E.N.D. But even before the trio of hit makers get into the creation of The E.N.D. and its hits (including Record of the Year-nominated ‘I Gotta Feeling’) Nonhle gets them to open up about the early years, when the group was still hustling gigs for a few dollars here and there. In particular, apl.de.ap talks about his childhood in the Philippines, being adopted and coming to America and meeting up with will.i.am. “We became best friends,” he says.

In a fascinating interview, the trio also talk about hooking up with Fergie, the inspiration behind “Where Is The Love?”, the meaning of the ‘E.N.D’ in the title of their latest album and how their sound has grown and evolved over their five studio albums.

Viewers also get to hear some very special news from the group itself on their touring plans for 2010. The Black Eyes Peas have never made any secret of their love for Africa and there are plenty of personal shout-outs to Channel O’s huge African viewers.

Also in this episode is a high-energy interview with Jeanette Jenkins, who is the founder and President of The Hollywood Trainer and the author of The Hollywood Trainer Weight-Loss Plan: 21 Days to Make Healthy Living a Lifetime Habit and creator of Bikini Bootcamp.

Jeanette puts Nonhle through her Pilates paces and also reveals her training secrets that have been so effective on some of Hollywood’s top stars, including Kimora Lee Simmons, Robin Thicke and Queen Latifah (whom, incidentally, Jeanette is rumoured to be engaged to!).

Season 4 of O Access runs to February 9th with plenty of repeats for those who miss the first showing of each brilliant episode.

Adding to the world-class gloss on O Access is a brand new look and feel that underscores what everyone knows – and that is that there is only one place to be each Tuesday at 21:00: tuned into Channel O for O Access Season 4!

Catch O Access every Tuesday on Channel O from 21:00 to 21:30.
    * Channel O is available across the continent on DStv channel 320.
