Channel O’s hugely popular O Access Season 4 is sadly drawing to an end heads - but not before host Nonhle Thema to Los Angeles, California to hang out with hot, new rapper, Wale, and buff-up her body!

January 26th is the date to mark to see Nonhle quiz Wale about his Nigerian roots, the meaning of his name and how he got into the rap game. The episode also includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the cover shoot for Wale’s debut solo album. “Patience is definitely a virtue and you don’t want to rush things,” Wale reveals on the show, in reference to the many mixtapes he dropped before finally releasing his debut solo album in November 2009.

Titled Attention Deficit the critically-acclaimed album was heralded by the single “Chillin”, featuring Lady Gaga, and also features tracks like “Pretty Girls” featuring Gucci Mane and Weensey and “World Tour” featuring Jazmine Sullivan.

But even though Wale’s popularity is on the rise, he’s determined to keep his integrity intact during his breakthrough. “My music is designed for a very specific type of person – the person who doesn’t want to hear any more lies,” Wale tells Nonhle during the interview – which also sees the rapper reveal the social influence on his music from - Common, Fela Kuti, Talib Kweli, and Dead Prez - as well as talk about those artists who have influenced his cadence and style.

Also on this episode of O Access is a treat for fans of the show’s gorgeous host! Nonhle’s no slouch when it comes to staying fit and trim even when she was pushed to the limit with her personal, one-on-one training session at Los Angeles’s Fortune Gym. Inspired by her encounter with actor, choreographer, and dancer, Darrin Henson during last season’s O Access, Nonhle entered the boxing ring and emerged ready to take on Laila Ali!

“That was the most awesome workout of my entire life, Jose,” says Nonhle to her personal trainer for the day – and O Access viewers who want to take a tip or two from a world-class boxing trainer can do so during next Tuesday’s episode of O Access.

Now drawing to an end with just three more episodes left, season 4 of O Access has been another smash hit with viewers who have given their approval to its unique Afro-centric access to some of the world’s biggest entertainment stars. Catch Wale on O Access Season 4– Tuesday 26 January at 21:00 till 21:30.
