Waar Was Jy Entertainment, a newly formed live show business and entertainment enterprise, will host a kwaito festival on Saturday October 30.

According to Rocky Gofamodimo, co-founder and festival organiser, Botswana has experienced a huge downfall and depreciation of kwaito music and said it was therefore essential to remind all and sundry of the importance and value of kwaito and the impact it has in people’ lives, especially those who grew up at its advent and during its reigning era.
He said the plan was to revive the nostalgic story of kwaito, keep it alive and introduce it to new audiences and the new generation who have missed out on its melody.
…as to prompt upcoming artists to get back to the roots of the famous kwaito music groove.”
He explained that Waar Was Jy Entertainment’s mission was to offer a wide range of entertainment, marketing, event management and performance platforms throughout the country for major national and international clients.
