Kwaito’s Mzekezeke Delivers to Ekasi

The award winning Mzekezeke , has made history again, by entering into a business partnership with Vodacom.

The kwaito artist now owns his own BlueLabel Vodacom starter pack there for creating jobs for people to sell his starter packs.

“This one is for the kasi people. I’m from ekasi and I support my people because they also support us as musicians” said the masked character.

The mysterious Mzekezeke points out that he has lived up to his promise saying “During the Samas I promised people on TV that in September I’ would have my own starter packs and I have delivered on that promise.”

“Others were laughing at me thinking I was crazy. Well, I wasn’t and I don’t make empty promises to my people. I deliver” said Mzekezeke, who will be the 2010 Ekurhuleni ambassador.

BlueLabel Telecoms spokesperson Trevor Theledi said: “Our partnership with Mzekezeke has already created sustainable job opportunities for more than 200 people by supplying starter pack packages to the unemployed so that they can sell them to generate some income.”
In addition to creating jobs the initiative also focuses on education as purchasing Mzekezeke’s starter pack will help children who want to study at tertiary level after passing Grade 12.

“Some of the profits will be used as bursaries for students to study at institutions of higher learning anywhere in South Africa,” said Theledi.

The start packs which used to cost R49,99 in the shops, will not only sell for R10 as the The Vodacom-Mzekezeke starter packs deal , but will come with R18 free airtime.
